I do agree there's an issue here and that normalizing this behavior for young men is bad. Programs like these feed on insecurities. They're also data harvesting. But are they any different to other forms of fantasy found in the digital realm? Is World of Warcraft or Call of Duty any different? Normalizing violence. Does Grand Theft Auto lead to more car crime? More rape?

People who brag on reddit are idiots. Unfortunately the algortihms will show them other idiots reinforcing their ideas. The bucks stop with the companies producing this crap and while there's demand, I don't see how they will stop. Hold them accountable sure, but aggressive arseholes will always be aggressively arseholes, they just find a different outlet...military, police force, politician.
