Hornbach-Come to Hornbach before your garden does
I don’t get it. I don’t understand the tagline, the concept, or the execution. The plants and trees look weird. This surreal slice of ‘fun’ from a garden center is a massive no-go for me.
The one funny moment, a piece of turf exits a toilet with a roll attached to its ‘arse’, makes little sense. Okay…a tree driving a car makes little sense, but where the fuck did this turf even come from? It’s hard spotting a turf through the trees in a car. And that’s the problem. The characters aren’t Anthropomorphised enough. It’s hard to make them out.
“We had so many ideas during the campaign development,” says Heimat founder Guido Heffels of the new spot. “We could have made an entire motion picture. Or even a series.” Source Creative Review
Thankfully the Germans stopped after two minutes.
