I believe that at first they were doing good. And that those not involved in the management, the people on the streets, believe in the movement and believe they are making change. But to take a huge sum of money and buy a mansion instead of reinvesting in the cause reeks of inauthenticity. There are so many examples of leaders fighting for a cause without getting mega-wealthy for their efforts.

As for functional definition of 'good'. If the cause is to eliminate racism, anything less than that is bad. There's progress and improvements but racism is racism and it would be hard to argue the system is better because it's getting less racist.
