I had one guest lecture back in my university days. While the lecture hall was settling day, he fired off a cap gun. It was so loud and shocking in that space. He immediately got everyones attention. I can’t imagine anyone pulling that trick off these days…and besides, all i can remember from that lecture now is his stunt.
