I'm with you on this. I know, whenever the threat of violence occurs, I look for an exit rather than stand and fight. Mentally, I tell myself I don't want to foot a $800 bill for new glasses...but I know, deep down...I'm not strong, tough or particularly brave.

I once got mugged when I was 15. On the tube (UK subway). I didn't see the weapon but there was something pointy in his pocket and threatened to stab me if I didn't give him what he wanted. I handed over my cash and watch. Don't miss either.
