India is (or was) a very bad place for western women. Having traveled over two years from North to South, there would be barely a week between gropes of my girlfriend. If we stood still, it was guaranteed to draw a crowd, which would then surge with hands reaching out to cop a feel. Ahmedabad was probably worse (actual traffic cops called in to break up the crowd). She was always modestly dressed....and don't even get me started on the train journeys!
