Its a strawman argument deflecting from the fact that the Israeli government is in the wrong and the actions they are taking are wrong. I'm not arguing their right to defend themselves, its the heavy handed approach by a right-wing government that's the issue. And yes, Hamas should shoulder the blame too. Both sides. I stand for Israel but cannot accept that this is the only way to treat people and if this was wanted by the majority of people in Israel, then Netanyahu would have a bigger majority then his bloodthirsty coalition government have.
