It's an interesting question. Do we really want to return the hooligan football era where working 3 days a week was winning and rubbish piled high on streets and my Dad came home beaten up because he was a Paki? While we have extremes (and PC Police is extreme), it helps drag the rest of society into a more centrist view.

And for what it's worth...i still love dressing in a sombrero and doing a Mexican wave.
