I've had an approach from a larger Medium publisher. I asked the Editor of the smaller pub if he was cool with it. He congratulated me and told me to go for it. There's nothing wrong with swapping as long as you do it openly. Editors should want the best for you and those that don't you probably shouldn't be publishing with them.
