Lol. It certainly felt like a dream job had just slipped through my fingers!
I tried this approach on a cover letter too. I wrote about not filling the letter with buzzwords and bollocks and that I clearly was the best fit. It was brief and lasted two paragraphs. I'm sure their HR department have hung it on their wall. Never heard back. Never tried that again. Another dream job gone....but the thing is, theres always another dream job waiting.
