Progress really isn’t the same argument as cultural appropriation. Is adoption of copper really taking it from a culture without permission? Here’s a couple more straw man’s arguments. Does not liking Hawaii really lead to a dead-end job? Does disliking America have likewise cataclysmic results? And finally the use of many companies…if anything, I find it’s the local operators fleecing the tourists and not giving back to the communities that are the real culprits here.
