AdidasRick creates the ultimate soccer boot for Morty
For fans of Rick and Morty, here’s the collab you’ve been waiting for! There’s no compromising between soccer stars. Both Mo Salah and Vivianne Miedema get equal billing. Unfortunately, there isn’t a single belch of f-bomb to be heard but don’t let that distract you.
It’s an incredible mash-up of cultures. Rick’s boots are the star on the soccer field and the world loves him for it!
“It’s one of these campaigns where you throw something at the wall early on, thinking it is going to get a few laughs and fall off, but it sticks,” says Toby Castle-Smith, copywriter at TBWA\Neboko, of the ad’s development. “But a few months later (and with the trust and support of our partners at adidas Football) we’re on weekly calls with the wonderful people at Adult Swim, and it all starts to come to life.” Source Creative Review
