Talking of which...a 'friend' round the corner always asks us if her daughter can have a play-date on Teacher Only Days. These days are given with plenty of notice, and some of us, heeding that 2 month notice, book a day off to look after our children. My wife agrees with the playdate but she goes off to work. But this isn't a fun couple of hours...this is the WHOLE FREAKING DAY. And worse, she's so sorry, but can her youngest also stay and play? This she says when she's at my door and clearly in a hurry to go to work. Again...she's really really sorry.

She did this on another occasion just so she and her husband could enjoy a relaxing day together sans kids.

Fuck her. We're wise to her shit now and say no to any 'play-dates'.
