This made me smile...we always bought egg sandwiches which inevitably had shell and then sand in them! And UK beaches are shit! We had to travel over an hour, on a holiday, through hot traffic, just to sit on a crowded pebble beach! I'm so glad I live in NZ now with isolated beaches with actual sand!
