Time To Purge More Ideas
My drafts folder needs to be emptied
Coming to the end of the year and it’s about time I addressed my growing problem of an overfilling drafts folder. Most of the ideas are terrible. Some are one-liners that have no legs. It’ll be easier to write a thesis on War and Peace than it would be to create a story out of this garbage.
Here’s a quick wander through my mind.
The one-liners
How Gen Z killed Basic Blacks — I saw an article headline on Bazaar entitled ‘How Gen Z Killed Basic Black’. As is often the case, I misread it and wondered why they would call anyone basic let alone have such a racist headline. This story felt rife for satire but I quickly grew bored.
I’m going deaf to the sound of women’s voices — otherwise known as selective hearing. Imagine a world where all the men talked over all the women because they couldn’t hear and they all fell in love with the sound of their own voices. Very Vonnegut.
Living my life as a popular search term.
Facebook is mind-bogglingly stupid. But if it were entirely stupid, like Jackass, then we would be bored a long time ago.
