Tough gig. It's why most people don't become defense lawyers defending the undefendable. I don't agree with your actions simply because you believed she was being abused. I'm sure you had plenty of 'courageous' conversations with your peers so I won't dwell upon that. Like you said, it's never black and white and appreciate your questioning. We do need more of that.
