Trolls are harmless enough (ignoring them tends to work in most cases). Why I can’t stand is pack hunting. Calling on their mob to bully and harass. And this isn’t even people you would consider trolls. These are hostile bullies. Influencers with thousands of people ready to attack. You see it on ‘professional’ platforms like Linkedin or any online forum.

Ginger Gorman wrote a great book ‘Troll Hunting” which outlines scary behaviour that causes real damage in the real world. False accusations of paedophilia against school teachers for example. Just nasty people who don’t care about the results.

They hide behind the Freedom of Speech but ineffect, targeting women, they’ve basically censored half the population.
